Get the current opportunity package and instructions from Grants.gov or the responsible agency. A summary may leave out important forms or attachments.
Prepare the required materials
The notice identifies the forms, narrative, budget, assurances, and other items required for that program. Follow its checklist instead of assuming every grant uses the same package.
Submit and save confirmation
Check the completed package for errors, submit through the designated process, and save the tracking number and confirmation. Submission is not a promise of an award.
